RETREATING WITH MATILDA

(Also known as the Fall, 2005 Wonder Cut Ruler Retreat)

When our good friend, Teena from Australia could not join us for our Fall, 2005 Wonder Cut Retreat, I decided that I would bring along a little of her spirit in the means of a gift she brought to me last year.  I have fondly named her Matilda, as she plays "Waltzing Matilda."

Enjoy your journey as you experience the retreat through Matilda's eyes.

Matilda all belted in.

I'm all buckled in and ready for the ride up to Albion.

Waiting at the door.

Come on Alice!  Deb and I are ready to go!!

Having breakfast!

Alice and Deb are so good to me.  They let me have
anything I want for breakfast!

Bulletin Board.

Can you see me?

Brother Bear and Friends.

Here I am with my other retreating friends up close.

Here I am helping Patricia with her Tumbling Blocks Quilt.

Helping Marianne.

Marianne showing me the finer points to her new featherweight.

Helping Mary iron.

Here I am pictured with Mary.
Mary has an important job during the retreat, she
presses for everyone!

Helping Kay.

Kay let me sit on her sewing machine while she worked
on her Albion Emerald Quilt.

Therapy Pet Visit.

The Therapy Pets Serving Mini-Cassia came to
visit us on Saturday morning.  Here I am
with Honey and Judy.

Matilda & Wickett

I met some new friends at the retreat - Wickett and
her Pet Therapy Partner, Melissa.  I think
Liza Anne enjoyed the visit as well.

Massage.

Saturday afternoon brought a special treat!
Everyone got massages including me!

Helping in the kitchen.

I even got to help out Darlene and crew in the kitchen.

Cutting fabric.

They even put me to work helping Mary cut fabric.

Playing with fabric.

Of course, I got to play in the fabric as well!

In the trash.

Okay!  Who put me in the trash can??

On Table Topper.

Here I am on Marianne's Albion Fan Table Topper.

Helping Patricia.

I had to supervise Patricia a lot!  She was test-driving
a pattern for Alice and Deb.
I was surprised to learn you can make the Tumbling Blocks Quilt
with the Wonder Cut Triangle Ruler.
