Wonder Cut Ruler Mystery - Step 2
Cutting
From your neutral fabric, cut 9 (nine) WC 3-1/2 x WOF.
Cut each neutral strip in half. You'll have 18
strips that are approximately 21 or 22" x WC 3-1/2
(depending on the width of your neutral).
Sew
Sew a scrap WC 3-1/2 x 21" right sides together to a
neutral WC 3-1/2 x 21" with a 1/4" seam
down both sides making a fabric tube.
Repeat with remaining 17 scrap strips and neutral
strips.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it?
Cutting HST Units
From each of your scrappy/neutral WC 3-1/2" x 21" strips,
cut ONLY 4 (four) 3-1/2"
HST's.
Trim tails and press each HST to the dark. Set aside
in groups.
From the remaining segment of your tubular strips, using a
regular ruler, line up and cut
a
2" x remainder
strip. Press
seam to the dark.
Sub cut into 4 (four) 2" two-part segments.
From each scrappy/neutral strip you
should get 4 (four)
3-1/2" HST's, and 4 (four) 2" two-part
segments.
