Welcome to Our
Wonder Cut Ruler
Virtual Quilt Retreat!

Have your fabric all sorted out?  A new blade in your rotary cutter?  A couple of bobbins wound?  Well, then let's get with the program and move on to the next step.  Are you ready?  Here we go!

The Second Step

Let's start by working with the darks.

1)  Cut 2 dark fabric strips 3-1/2" wide by width of fabric (WOF).
2)  Place strips right sides together and sew a 1/4" seam down the length of the strip.
3)  Press seam allowance to one side.
4)  Cut into two-patches 3-1/2" wide.

Now that wasn't too hard, was it?  Let's do the same with the lights.

1)  Cut 2 light fabric strips 3-1/2" wide by width of fabric (WOF).
2)  Place strips right sides together and sew a 1/4" seam down the length of the strip.
3)  Press seam allowance to one side.
4)  Cut into two-patches 3-1/2" wide.

You will need:
    35 - light two-patches
    35 - dark two-patches
    35 - light 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" squares
    35 - dark 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" squares
