So up to this point, you
should have:
35 - light two-patches
35 - dark two-patches
35 - light 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" squares
35 - dark 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" squares
Let's break out those Wonder Cut Rulers and put them to work!
The
Third Step
Important: Whenever you
see a WC abbreviation, it means cut your strip using the Wonder Cut
Ruler.
1) Cut 1 dark fabric strip WC 3-1/2 wide by width of fabric
(WOF).
2) Cut 1 light fabric strip WC 3-1/2 wide by width of fabric.
3) Place strips right sides together and sew a 1/4" seam down
both long sides. You will be making a "tube" of fabric.
4) Using the Wonder Cut Ruler, cut into 3-1/2" half-square
triangles. Press seam allowance to one side.

detailed directions.
Make 105 dark/light half-square triangles.
Margaret sent me this tidbit of information that some of you might find
helpful.
I thought maybe someone would be interested in some of
the facts I have figured out using FQ's.
You get 6 - 3 1/2" squares out of 1- 3 1/2" strip.
5 strips out of 1 FQ.
With the WCR you get 5 strips from a FQ and 8 HST out of one strip.
So a total of 40 HST from one
FQ. I only use FQ's so have to figure things out for them.gggg
Okay girls, we have the makings of a quilt, or do we?
