Welcome to Our

These past few weeks, there has been a
"tester" among our midst that we would like to thank. Pat has so
graciously taken of her time to check our instruction pages for
clarity, content, etc. etc. before anyone else has seen
them. To Pat, we say "Thank you! Thank
you!"

postage stamp quilt, her virtual quilt will become a real quilt.
Irice
- Surely patience paid off for this
quilter! Check out her Streak of Lightning.
Wow!

Margaret's quilt. She tells me it's done in scrappy colors using
fat quarters.
Pam in Greater Kansas City - I
finished the top, well all but the borders, this afternoon. There
are 32 different dark fabrics in the quilt. My light stash was
non existent, so I had to hit the stores. There are only a
handful of lights -- probably not more than 10. I made an
additional 13 blocks, so the top before borders is 54 x 72. I've
got 3 different black prints which are about 15 years old -- scraps
from a wall hanging I made for a store display back in 1990 or
1991. The newest fabrics are the 5 lights I just purchased a few
weeks ago when I realized I needed lights for the half square
triangles. Three of the dark fabrics are scraps from blouses I've
made. The watermelon print was used in a felted purse I
made. I wish there was less watermelon in the fabric.
My husband assisted me on the
layout. The top was laid out on the floor of my sewing room and
we kept turning the blocks until we found "the layout". Click here to see

Tanya in Burley - I snooped and found the
block you were working with and just
couldn’t help playing with it on EQ to see what I would do with my
blocks. Perhaps some of the virtual retreat ladies would be
interested in
this design possibility? I set 6 rows of 6 so it would take 36 blocks
though. Anyhow, this quilt may become a real quilt someday like
Pat’s.
This is as real as it gets for me right now though! (The twins
are just getting
over the stomach flu so we are kind of consumed by that ordeal for now
and hope
to have them back to being healthy by Christmas!) Click here to see
